At Owens Automotive, we believe the proper recycling and disposal of hazardous waste is one of the most important things we can do to protect the world around us, which is why we have partnered with Asbury Environmental to pick up and dispose of our waste oil and filters.
In addition to to maintaining clean water and soil, we are dedicated to restoring clean air to San Diego. Owens Automotive is not only a Smog Test and Repair Station, which allows us to repair vehicles that have failed their smog inspection, but we are an affiliate of the leading school (Furgerson's Automotive and Smog Training) in San Diego that trains mechanics to become CA licensed smog test and repair inspectors.

Owens Automotive is a AAA-Approved, family-owned and operated state-of-the-art auto repair, smog check and repair station in Escondido, CA, that services nearly all models of cars, SUVs, and light trucks, including hybrids. We also staff knowledgeable service writers and employ only the highest certified technicians that demonstrate expertise in every automotive service. We honor most extended warranties, and Owens own warranty on most repairs is 24 months/24,000 miles. A complete list of our services is constantly being expanded.
ASE Certified Technicians
Owens Automotive is staffed by people who take great pride in their work. With nine service bays, workstations equipped with resource software and an up-to-date repair management system, our ASE-Master Certified Technicians and ASE-Certified Service Advisors can take care of your auto, SUV and light truck needs, from the wheels on up. We perform oil change services and manufacturer recommended preventative maintenance intervals (30, 60, 90K services) as well as diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, clutches, steering, timing, electrical systems, heat and cooling systems and more, all in a timely, affordable manner.
CA Licensed Smog Check & Repair Station
The Smog Check Program is a vehicle inspection and maintenance program designed to improve the air we breathe. A Smog Check is required every other year (biennially) as part of the vehicle registration process. The DMV registration renewal notice will indicate if a Smog Check is required. A Smog Check is also required when a vehicle changes ownership or when it is registered for the first time in California.
